remedial massage and myotherapy

The term remedial massage is often used as an umbrella term to describe any type of massage but I feel it is more accurate to describe it as specific assessment based therapy utilised by professionally trained and certified therapists to facilitate the function of the human organism. This is achieved through the applications of modalities such as Dry Needling, Triggerpoint Therapy, Myotherapy, Movement and Sports Massage. In the right hands, these techniques are used to create positive change in the Neuro-muscular systems of the body such as improving joint mobility and function, decreasing recovery time, reducing depression and anxiety, pain relief, improvement of heart rate regulation and of course, promoting relaxation and the bodies natural healing processes.

We are very complex beings made up of and affected by many interrelated systems, therefore I aim to always trace the original reason for pain and dysfunction, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.
